The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George consists of four municipalities and seven electoral areas. They are: The City of Prince George, the
District of Mackenzie, the Village of McBride, the Village of Valemount, Salmon River-Lakes (A), Chilako River-Nechako (C), Tabor Lake-Stone Creek (D), Woodpecker-Hixon (E), Willow River-Upper Fraser (F), Crooked River-Bear Lake (G), and Robson Valley-Canoe (H).
The majority of the Regional District's responsibilities are centred on the rural areas outside of the four major municipalities.
The Regional District provides services to the municipalities and the electoral areas such as: administration services, financial services, regional planning, regional park development, inspection services, community facilities, recreation services, and economic development.
The Regional District also provides funding for community facilities, recreation services, specified area services such as fire protection, street lighting, TV re-broadcasting, and arenas.
