What is Mackenzie in Motion?
Mackenzie in Motion is a community-driven planning process that will create a solid plan of action for the upcoming three year term and the next 20 years. Through Mackenzie in Motion we will:
- Create a community vision and goals for Mackenzie;
- Develop a Strategic Plan to achieve the vision, including long-term strategies and a 3-year Council plan of action; and

Project Timeline
Why do we need a community plan?
Mackenzie continues to face a period of dramatic change. Our future depends on taking a smart, strategic look at what we want as a community, and then deciding what we need to do to be successful in the long run. Quick action will ensure we are making the most of our opportunities, and long term planning will help us to maintain a stable, healthy, and vital community over the next 20+ years.
Our community plan needs to reflect the views and visions of everyone in Mackenzie, as well as those of nearby First Nations and people who could be drawn to live or do business in Mackenzie. There will be many ways to participate over the next year.
